Patrick Kurtz – Owner of Kurtz Investigations Switzerland

Patrick Kurtz is a private investigator, criminologist, author, editor, publisher, and researcher.

 

He studied psychology, comparative literature, German studies, and provincial Roman archaeology. In addition to editing Aidan Johnstone’s memoirs under the title Livingstone’s Admonition, he published the academic volume Of Ovid, Grass and Tintagel Castle – Scholarly and Essayistic Excursions into European Literature in 2012.

 

Driven by a natural aptitude for combination, deduction, and analysis, he completed professional training as a private investigator and has since been operating commercially as a certified detective. His academic and investigative focus lies in criminalistics, particularly the application of human ethological insights.

 

Beyond his professional work, Patrick Kurtz has pursued various fields of study with differing intensity, including prehistory; religion and mythology; the origins, development and nature of the universe, life (with emphasis on biochemistry and the DNA molecule), and consciousness; philosophy; police violence; climate change; and democracy, demagogy, and disinformation in the 21st century. His curiosity encompasses both academic and alternative scientific perspectives, and he consistently looks beyond the Western intellectual framework. His other interests and passions include music (he is a multi-instrumentalist), Rishi yoga, scuba diving (PADI certified), and various forms of physical activity.

 

Language Skills: Patrick Kurtz speaks German, English, and Spanish fluently and has a working knowledge of Italian, French, Catalan, and Greek. He also holds the Latinum (certificate in Latin proficiency) and is familiar with the Hebrew alphabet.

 

Patrick Kurtz is regularly consulted as an expert commentator by television, radio, and print media outlets such as watson.ch, Blick, Aargauer Zeitung, Luzerner Zeitung, Winterthurer Zeitung, Solothurner Zeitung, and the children’s and youth magazine “tut.”
